Problem

The challenge was to design a modern and futuristic kiosk application, aiming to incorporate the most user-centric design patterns and 3D elements, reminiscent of advanced interface concepts.

However, there are challenges in seamlessly integrating these cutting-edge features while ensuring optimal usability and performance across all devices and platforms.

Additionally, the application’s initial deployment on kiosks at all train stations presents a need to address usability concerns specific to these physical interfaces.

The idea is to futurize the user experience for travellers, allowing them a quick seamless and fast experience on purchasing tickets in these busy times

Approach

To address these challenges, a comprehensive UX solution is required. Firstly, implementing advanced rendering techniques and optimizing code for performance will ensure smooth interactions and fast loading times, even with the inclusion of 3D elements.

Furthermore, incorporating user-centric design patterns and intuitive navigation elements will enhance the overall user experience, ensuring that passengers can easily access relevant information and perform tasks with minimal effort. Usability testing with real users will be conducted to validate the effectiveness of the design and identify any areas for improvement.

The system will utilize and incorporate facial recognition technology to automatically connect users to their banking and information, facilitating a seamless user flow.

The deployment of the new UI on kiosks at all train stations serves as the first step in gaining real-world insights into user behavior and satisfaction. By closely monitoring user interactions and collecting feedback during this initial rollout, iterative improvements can be made to refine the application’s usability and functionality.
